The charity is managed through regular committee meetings and an annual general meeting. Trustees are recruited by members of the committee proposing potential trustees to the committee meetings and the annual general meeting. All members of the small committee may be trustees.
Objectves of the charity
To promote the advancement of the knowledge of the constituents of plants in respect of their chemistry, function, biosynthesis, effect on plant and animal physiology and pathology, and the application of such knowledge in agriculture and industry. To publish papers delivered at meetings of the society with a view to the dissemination of the knowledge so gained for the benefit of the public generally.

Actvites 2021-2022
The “ 5th International Symposium on Phytochemicals in Medicine and Food (5-ISPMF) ” and was organized both as on-site and on-line meeting. This very successful meeting took place on 25th -30th August 2021. The location was Nanchang, China
A very successful on-line meeting, the “ 3rd International Gazi Pharma Symposium Series (GPSS2021) ”, was organized in Ankara (Turkey) on 8th10th September 2021 by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Gazi University. This event was co-badged by the PSE, the Austrian Drug Screening Institute (ADSI) and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS).).
The 3rd Annual Conference of the Centre for Natural Products (CNPD) Natural Products and their role in post-Covid-19 time was hosted virtually for three days at the begin of March (2nd – 4th March 2022).
PSE Young Scientists Meeting Trends in Natural Product Research took place in person in Kolymbari, Crete, between May 23[rd] and 26[th] , 2022.

The 6[th] International Symposium on Phytochemicals in Medicine and Food (6-ISMF) was organised between August 5[th] – 13[th] , 2022 (online) and August 7[th] – 9[th] in Hangzhou, China (on site). The meeting was sponsored by the International Association of Dietetic Nutrition and Safety (IADNS) and supported by PSE and Phytochemical Society of Asia (PSA)
1[st] European Symposium on Phytochemicals in Medicine and Food (1-EuSPMF) took place from September 7[th] – 9[th] , 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. The meeting was organized by the International Association of Dietetic Nutrition and Safety (IADNS) and the Institute of Food Technology and Biochemistry of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, and supported by the Serbian Chemical Society and PSE
The PSE congress Natural Products in Drug Discovery and Development - Advances and Perspectives was held in Iasi, Romania, from September 19[th] – 22[nd] , 2022.
Achievements and performance
The PSE has continued to be at the forefront of providing a mechanism by which the chemistry of plants may be discussed academically and as such has provided pubic benefit by ensuring that this important natural resource continues to be investigated for potential benefit to humanity.
Financial review
The charity remains in good financial health and has no debts. No funds are held with a custodian trustee.

No matter has come to my attention, in connection with the examination, which gives reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect:
