**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION BY THE STUDY OF ARCHAEOLOGY, HISTORY AND KINDRED SUBJECTS, PARTICULARLY IN WEST ESSEX. TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATION IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES.

**Activities:** Archaeological group, with activities covering many aspects of archaeology, including public talks and lectures, practical excavation and research, training for beginners, publications, and public display of results of excavations.  Membership is open to individuals of any age and any level of experience, from absolute beginners through to professional archaeologists.
