**Objects:** TO RELIEVE PATIENTS AND FORMER PATIENTS OF THE HOSPTIAL WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED, INFIRM OR IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND GENERALLY TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE HOSPITAL. (FOR DETAILS SEE CLAUSE 3 OF THE CONSTITUTION).

**Activities:** With the rebuild of the hospital, from the original 1930's building to a the new facility, the Friends now provides a small convenience shop for use by the public attending for all outpatient services; also for inpatients and relatives of the four wards, as well as the hospital staff, and respond to requests for medical and other equipment requested.
