To provide a premises to be enjoyed as a place of assembly in the City of Plymouth and the neighbourhood that makes a substantial contribution to the social, cultural and economic life and well-being of the city. The use of the premises will be without distinction of political, religious or other opinions. The premises may be used for meetings, lectures and classes and for the purpose of physical exercise artd training and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation. The Trustees of the Abbey Hall have acted at all times with regard to the principles of Public Benefit as described in the guidance issued bv the Charity Commission. There is an identifiable public benefit to the operation of the hall as a charity as required in Public Benefit Principle l.
