ROWDE VILLAGE HALL
MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD ON JUNE 4[th] . 2025 AT 7.30pm. IN THE VILLAGE HALL.
PRESENT:- MR. B. CROSS:- Chairman, MRS. M. BURBIDGE :- Treasurer, MRS. D. BUCKLAND:- Secretary, and COMMITTEE MEMBER:- MR. C. GREENWOOD. Plus 4 Parishioners.
It was very pleasing to see a number of parishioners present. There were no Apologies.
The Minutes of the last A.G.M. were distributed for all to read and then signed as a correct record by the Chairman Mr. Cross.
Pro:- Mrs. S. Rigby, Sec. :- Mr. C. Greenwood. Agreed.
Matters arising:- The lovely new Notice Board kindly donated by the Parish Council in lieu of a donation from the Parish Precept and made by Devizes Men’s Shed Group has been installed.

The Audited Accounts for 2024 were ratified and accepted by the Committee prior to the AGM. The Accounts were distributed for all present to see and a copy attached.
The Treasurer Mrs. Burbidge explained where the large payment of £3915 on Outside Maintenance was spent on repairs to the porch area and to the retaining wall on the corner of the path to the church. Also, the £6765 on General Maintenance was for the decorating and the new curtains and cushion covers, a £1000 towards this was from a donation left to the Hall by the late Mrs. D. Ellis. As there were insufficient funds in the General Account money had to be transferred from the Deposit Account to meet these payments.
Mrs. Burbidge also read from the Will of the late Mr. B. Barrett which explained on what the Interest only from the Bequest he had left of £50,000 to the Hall could be spent.
Mr. Greenwood asked about the Lowes Bequest which Mrs. Burbidge also explained.
These Accounts had been Audited by Mrs. T. Rudman who has been thanked.
Mr. Greenwood proposed and Mrs. Robson Seconded that these Accounts should be signed by the Chairman. Agreed.

ELECTION OF COMMITTEE:- Mr. C. Greenwood is the
representative from the Parish Council and Mrs. D. Buckland the representative from the Ladies Club.
Other Committee members being Mr. B. Cross and Mrs. M. Burbidge were proposed by Mrs. Buckland and Seconded by Mr. Greenwood to be re elected to the Committee together with Mr. J. Wills, Mrs. E. Watt, Mrs. S. Rigby and Mrs. S. Robson who all agreed to being elected to the Committee. Agreed.
There being no more to discus the Chairman thanked everyone for attending and stated it was good to have new members on the Committee.
Meeting closed 8pm.
