TRUSTEE'S REPORT FOR THE YEAR TO 31 DECEMBER 2024
I the sole trustee of Axminster Musical Theatre for the year to 31"
December 2024 and during that year our Society performed two shoivs.
One in the Spring called Music by Candlelight and the other Joseph and
the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in November. Both shoiys Ivere well
received and we had good audiences. But expenses were high resulting in
loss.
Our Society has been going since 1926 and we are looking forward to
celebrating our IOOth anniversary in 2026. Although we have not
performed 100 shows in that time due to the Second World War and
repairs to the Guildhall, where we perform, and again with Covid in 2020.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 December2024, which are set out on pages 1-4.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charitws tru5tee5 are responsible for the preparation of the accounrs in accordance with the Charities Act
20111.the Acv,).
The trustees consider thèt an audit is not required for this year (under section 144121 of the Act) and that an
independent examination 15 needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Act;
follow the procedures laid down in the general Direction5 given by the Charity Commission (under
sertion 14515llbl of the Act),. and
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent exominerfs statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission.
An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
account5 presented with those records.
It also includes considering any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the
trustees concerning any such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and,
consequently. no opinion 15 given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fair viev/'.

Independent examinerfs statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements..
to keep accounting record5 in accordance with settion 130 of the Charities Act 2011: and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the
accounting requirements of the Act,.
have not been met. or
to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.
