ThetrusteeshaveadoptedtheprovisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statementof Recommended
Practice applicableto charities preparing their accountsin accordancewith the FinancialReporting Standard applicable
in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

`OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES`

`Objectives and aims`

The Charitywas establishedto provide financialassistanceto any member of the League of Nurses whatever their age,
intimesofneed.Assistancecanalsobeprovidedtopresentorformermembersofthenursingstaffofthe Royal
London Hospital. The fund is administered in a completely confidential manner. Contact is made through the president.

`Public benefit`

The Trusteeshavegivenconsiderationto the questionof the Charity'sstatuswithspecialregardto the benefitto the
communitybeyondits own membership.They have referred to the guidelineson the CharityCommissionwebsite and
are satisfied that both its activities and use of funds fully justify its charitable status.

TheyhavealsogivendueregardtotheCharityCommissionGuidelineonpublicbenefitinformingtheobjectives and
activities of the Charity.

`Grantmaking and outgoings`

The grants and outgoings are provided from the income generated from the monies held in the Benevolent Fund.

`ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE`

`Charitable activities`

The numberof members of the Leagueof Nursesreceivinggrantsremainedstable.The grantswere used for a variety
of purposes including support for the rise in the cost of living, particularly in relation to heating and food costs.

TheLeaguekeepsincontactwithitsmoreseniormembersbysendinghampersovertheChristmasholiday. This
contact enables the President to offer assistance which members may not feel able to request themselves.

`Fundraising activities`

The charity does not carry out significant fundraising activities

`FINANCIAL REVIEW`

`Financial position`

Reserves grew from £1,300,190 at 31 December 2024 to £1,325,731 at 31 December 2025.

`Principal funding sources`

Funding is principally from income generated by the investment portfolio.

`Reserves policy`

The fund capital and any legacies received must be invested to generate income used for the purpose of the Charity.

`STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT`

`Governing document`

The charity is controlled by its governing document, a deed of trust and constitutes an unincorporated charity.

The name of the charity is The Royal London Hospital League of Nurses Benevolent Fund.

The charity was established by Trust Deed dated 30 November 1970.

`Recruitment and appointment of new trustees`

The President,Vice Presidentand HonoraryOfficers stand as trustees of the BenevolentCommittee. Two members  are
elected by the Executive Committee of the League of Nurses.

The HonoraryOfficersare appointedfor threeyears,butmaystandfor re-electionby the ExecutiveCommittee. Vice
Presidentsare electedby the ExecutiveCommitteefor life and automaticallybecome trusteesof the Benevolent Fund
unless they resign from the Trusteeship.

`Organisational structure`

The RoyalLondonHospitalLeagueof NursesBenevolentFundis managedby the trusteeswho are responsiblefor the
administration, management and day-to-day control of the Charity.

`Risk management`

Thetrusteeshaveadutytoidentifyandreviewtheriskstowhichthecharityisexposedandtoensure appropriate
controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.

The trustees review the major operationalrisks which the charity faces and ensure that systems are in place to  mitigate
those risks.

The trustees consultat any time considerednecessarywith the fund manager of the charityfor the specific purpose of
assessing financial performance.

`STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES' RESPONSIBILITIES`

The trusteesare responsiblefor preparingthe Reportof the Trusteesandthe financialstatementsin accordance with
applicablelawandUnitedKingdomAccountingStandards(UnitedKingdomGenerallyAcceptedAccounting Practice)
includingFinancialReportingStandard102"TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublic of
Ireland".

Charitylawrequiresthetrusteestopreparefinancialstatementsforeachfinancialyear.Underthatlaw,the trustees
haveelectedtopreparethefinancialstatementsinaccordancewithUnitedKingdomGenerallyAccepted Accounting
Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law).

Under charitylaw the trustees must not approve the financialstatementsunless they are satisfied that they give a  true
and fair view of the state of affairs of the charityand of the incomingresources and applicationof resources, including
theincomeandexpenditure,ofthecharityforthatperiod.Inpreparingthosefinancialstatements,thetrustees are
required to

select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP;
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business.

Thetrusteesareresponsibleforkeepingproperaccountingrecordswhichdisclosewithreasonableaccuracyat any
timethefinancialpositionof thecharityandtoenablethemtoensurethatthefinancialstatementscomplywith the
CharitiesAct2011andTheCharity(AccountsandReports)Regulations2008.Theyarealsoresponsible for
safeguardingthe assets of the charityand hence for takingreasonablesteps for the preventionand detectionof fraud
and other irregularities.

WehaveauditedthefinancialstatementsofTheRoyalLondonHospitalLeagueofNursesBenevolentFund (the
'charity')for the year ended 31 December 2025 which comprise the Statement of FinancialActivities,the Balance Sheet

frameworkthathasbeenappliedintheirpreparationisapplicablelawandUnitedKingdomAccounting Standards

`In our opinion the financial statements:`

give a true and fair view of the state of the charity's affairs as at 31 December 2025 and of its incoming resources and application of resources, for the year then ended;
have been properly prepared in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice, including Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland'; and
have been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011.

`Basis for opinion`

OurresponsibilitiesunderthosestandardsarefurtherdescribedintheAuditors'responsibilitiesfortheauditof the

audit evidence we have obtained is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for our opinion.

`Conclusions relating to going concern`

In auditingthe financialstatements,we have concludedthat the trustees'use of the going concern basis of  accounting
in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate.

Basedontheworkwehaveperformed,wehavenotidentifiedanymaterialuncertaintiesrelatingtoevents or
conditionsthat,individuallyorcollectively,maycastsignificantdoubtonthecharity'sabilitytocontinueasa going
concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.

Our responsibilitiesand the responsibilitiesof the trusteeswith respectto going concernare describedin the relevant
sections of this report.

Thetrusteesareresponsiblefortheotherinformation.Theotherinformationcomprisestheinformationincluded in
the Annual Report, other than the financial statements and our Report of the Independent Auditors thereon.

Inconnectionwithourauditofthefinancialstatements,ourresponsibilityistoreadtheotherinformationand, in

We have nothingto report in respectof the followingmatterswhere the Charities(Accountsand Reports) Regulations
2008 requires us to report to you if, in our opinion:

the information given in the Report of the Trustees is inconsistent in any material respect with the financial statements; or
sufficient accounting records have not been kept; or
the financial statements are not in agreement with the accounting records and returns; or
we have not received all the information and explanations we require for our audit.

`Responsibilities of trustees`

As explainedmore fullyin the Statementof Trustees'Responsibilities,the trusteesare responsiblefor the preparation
ofthefinancialstatementswhichgiveatrueandfairview,andforsuchinternalcontrolasthetrusteesdetermine is
necessaryto enable the preparationof financialstatementsthat are free from materialmisstatement,whether due to
fraud or error.

Inpreparingthefinancialstatements,thetrusteesareresponsibleforassessingthecharity'sabilitytocontinueas a
goingconcern,disclosing,asapplicable,mattersrelatedtogoingconcernandusingthegoingconcernbasis of
accountingunlessthetrusteeseitherintendtoliquidatethecharityortoceaseoperations,orhaveno realistic

`Our responsibilities for the audit of the financial statements`

We have been appointedas auditors under Section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and report in accordancewith the Act
and relevant regulations made or having effect thereunder.

Ourobjectivesaretoobtainreasonableassuranceaboutwhetherthefinancialstatementsasawholearefree from
material misstatement,whether due to fraud or error, and to issue a Report of the IndependentAuditorsthat includes
ouropinion.Reasonableassuranceisahighlevelofassurance,butisnotaguaranteethatanauditconducted in
accordancewithISAs(UK)willalwaysdetectamaterialmisstatementwhenitexists.Misstatementscanarise from
fraudorerrorandareconsideredmaterialif,individuallyorintheaggregate,theycouldreasonablybeexpected to
influence the economic decisions of users taken on the basis of these financial statements.

The extent to which our procedures are capable of detecting irregularities, including fraud is detailed below:

Our approachto identifyingand assessing the risks of material misstatementin respect of irregularities,including fraud
and non-compliance with laws and regulations, was as follows:

-theengagementpartnerensuredthattheengagementteamcollectivelyhadtheappropriate competence,
capabilities and skills to identify or recognise non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations;

-weidentifiedthelawsandregulationsapplicabletothecharitythroughdiscussionswiththetrusteesand other
management, and from our knowledge and experience of the charity's operating sector;

- we focusedonspecificlawsandregulationswhichwe consideredmayhaveadirectmaterialeffectonthe financial
statementsortheoperationsofthecharity,includingtheCharitiesAct2011,taxationlegislation,data protection,
anti-bribery, employment, environmental and health and safety legislation;

-weassessedtheextentofcompliancewiththelawsandregulationsidentifiedabovethroughmakingenquiries of
management and inspecting legal correspondence; and

- identifiedlawsandregulationswere communicatedwithintheauditteamregularlyandtheteamremainedalert to
instances of non-compliance throughout the audit.

Weassessedthesusceptibilityofthecharity'sfinancialstatementstomaterialmisstatement,includingobtaining an
understanding of how fraud might occur, by:

- making enquiries of management as to where they considered there was susceptibility to fraud, their
knowledge of actual, suspected and alleged fraud;

- considering the internal controls in place to mitigate risks of fraud and non-compliance with laws and
regulations;

To address the risk of fraud through management bias and override of controls, we:

- performed analytical procedures to identify any unusual or unexpected relationships;

tested journal entries to identify unusual transactions;

-assessedwhetherjudgementsandassumptionsmadeindeterminingtheaccountingestimateswereindicative of
potential bias;

investigated the rationale behind significant or unusual transactions;

`1. GENERAL INFORMATION`

These financialstatements cover the individualcharity; The Royal London Hospital League of Nurses  Benevolent
Fund only.

All transactions are reported in £ Sterling, rounded to whole pounds only.

The financial statements comply with the provisions of SORP 2019.

The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.

The financialstatementshave been prepared to give a 'true and fair' view and have departed from the  Charities
(AccountsandReports)Regulations2008onlytotheextentrequiredtoprovidea'trueandfairview'. This
departurehasinvolvedfollowingtheAccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statementof Recommended
PracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReporting Standard
applicablein theUK andRepublicof Irelandissuedin October2019ratherthantheAccountingand Reporting
by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice effective from 1 April 2005 which has since been withdrawn

`2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES`

`Basis of preparing the financial statements`

Thefinancialstatementsofthecharity,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS102,havebeenprepared in
accordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statement of
RecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththe Financial
ReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland(FRS 102) (effective1 January2019)', Financial
ReportingStandard102 'The FinancialReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland'and the
CharitiesAct 2011. The financialstatementshave been preparedunder the historicalcost convention,with the
exception of investments which are included at market value, as modified by the revaluation of certain assets.

`Financial reporting standard 102 - reduced disclosure exemptions`

The charity has taken advantageof the following disclosure exemptions in preparing these financial statements,
as permitted by FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland':

the requirements of Section 7 Statement of Cash Flows;
the requirement of paragraph 3.17(d);
the requirements of paragraphs 11.42, 11.44, 11.45, 11.47, 11.48(a)(iii), 11.48(a)(iv), 11.48(b) and 11.48(c);
the requirements of paragraphs 12.26, 12.27, 12.29(a), 12.29(b) and 12.29A;
the requirement of paragraph 33.7;
• the requirement of paragraph 24(b) of IFRS 6.

`Income`

All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once all of the following criteria have been met:

The charity has entitlement to the funds
Any performance conditions attached to the items of income have been met or are fully within the
control of the charity
There is sufficient certainty that receipt of the income is considered probable
The amount can be measured reliably

`Expenditure`

Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommitting the
charitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequiredin settlement
andtheamountoftheobligationcanbemeasuredreliably.Expenditureisaccountedforonanaccruals basis
andhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateallcostrelatedto thecategory.Wherecostscannot be
directlyattributedtoparticularheadingstheyhavebeenallocatedtoactivitiesonabasisconsistentwith the
use of resources.

Grants offered subject to conditionswhich have not been met at the year end date are noted as a  commitment
but not accrued as expenditure.

`Tangible fixed assets`

Depreciationis providedat the followingannualratesin order to write off each assetover its estimated useful
life.

Computer equipment- Straight line over 4 years

`Stocks`

Stocksarevaluedatthelowerofcostandnetrealisablevalue,aftermakingdueallowanceforobsolete and
slow moving items.

`Cash at bank and in hand`

Cash at bank and in hand includes cash and short term highly liquid investmentswith a short maturityfrom the
date of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar account.

`Fund accounting`

Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.

Restrictedfundscanonlybeusedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithintheobjectsofthe charity.
Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.

There are currently no restricted funds held in the charity.

`Investment assets`

Investmentsare initiallyrecognisedat their transactionvalue and subsequentlymeasured at their market value
at the BalanceSheetdateusingthe closingquotedmarketprice.The Statementof FinancialActivities includes
net gains or losses on revaluations and disposals throughout the year.
