## **ANNUAL REPORT 2023/2024** The Village Hall Committee has had another very busy and successful year for which they should be congratulated on the enormous amount of work put in. ## **Events** Fundraising events throughout the year included: A Beer Festival: Beer, Band and Boogie Night: Bonfire Night: Christmas Band Night: A Quiz and Social Night and a Big Breakfast. Also, the Village Hall Committee organised a Village celebration for the Coronation of King Charles III and a Remembrance Service on the Green with refreshments afterwards. ## **Grants** The Jack Brunton Trust has kindly given a grant of £2,500.00 to the Village Hall Committee which has been used to provide a generator, cables and lighting, a Boom Box and a new gate for the field which is to be purchased. ## **Renewals and repairs** New generator Boom box Sum-up machine Grit bin Repairs have been carried out to some of the windows. A drain pipe has been repositioned to take water away from the building. ## **Friends of the Village Hall Committee** Several people from the Village who do not wish to be on the Committee but are willing to help, have been recruited and come along to assist in putting up marquees and at busy events when needed. They are a big asset to the Committee for which we give them a big thank you. ## **Charitable Incorporated Organisation** It is hoped that the Village Hall will become a ‘Charitable Incorporated Organisation’ in the near future. ## **New or refurbished Village Hall** Plans to provide a new or refurbished Village Hall are ongoing.
