Par• 1 17 •r•# We prepared four conrtS in this period. Each involved up to nine weeks of rehearsal enabling the players the opportunity to acquire knowledge of the music. All concerts were open to the ublic. The trustees have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission. In pursuing our airns for the public benefit, the orchestra believes it impacts on people's lives in two ways. First, for participants {young and old), we involve more people in a creatNe. enjoyable and fulfilling educational activity, providing them with opportunity to develop orchestral technique and musical repertoi. Second. for audiences, v present exciting. innovative and high qualty perfonnances which shoubd always be a pleasurable cultural experien, but will sometimes challenge them and educate them by extending their musical knowledge. We continue to offer reduced membership to the under 255. and any other member wrth financial difficulties can privately discuss a special reduced subscription arrangement with the Treasurer. The charity's WO has brought musical knowledge and education to both the players in the orchestra and the concert goers. (Y this amount £29,800 has been allocated as a designated fund relating to legacies received. These are unrestricted funds. The orchestra had over 40 regular members who paid annual or termly subscription and regular concert audiences of arourKI 100.
