**Objects:** TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE SCIENCE AND PRACTICE OF HORTICULTURE WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE CONDITIONS OBTAINING IN LAKELAND AND WITHIN THE ABOVE AREA TO PROMOTE AND FACILITATE CO-OPERATION BETWEEN ALL HORTICULTURAL ORGANISATIONS AND TO SERVE THE INTERESTS OF ALL HORTICULTURISTS.

**Activities:** The charity promotes the science, practice and art of horticulture with special reference to the conditions pertaining in the Lake District. It also aims to promote  and facilitate co-operation between horticultural organisations and serve the interests of all horticulturalists.
