OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

The group provides relief forpeople with learning disabilities in Fieetw<x)d and district area by..
l. Theprovision of help 8ud support forthc￿ th¢ir families, depeThlaTts and QaT¢rs.
2. Prevention of leaming disabilities for the publi¢ ben¢fiL
3. Advanee religion amongst persons with a disability.
4. Provide assistance in the provisiou of factliti¢s for recreation or other leisure time occupation.
5. Improve their conditions of life.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The natUTC of the Charity's activities. providing r¢%idctttial accomm￿￿tio￿ for vuinernble adults, means the rental
income remain relatively stable.
Following the closure of the social l)ub at Mencap Hall during the Covid pandemic it has been po￿lb1¢ to r¢-open it in
2022 and setvices are moving low￿ a norn￿ position. This is reflected by the reÉum of refreS1]n￿nt incomc in thc
accounts. The Trnstecs are aware this social space and int¢raction Can be important for the Jesidents of the Charitys
properties and they glad to see its retum.
No prnperties have been sold or purchased during the year and necess8ry maintenance continues on ots ongoitjg basis.
During the Jrar, Derek Eaton, a long s¢rving and valu¢d rn¢mb¢r of the Board of Trustees, sadly pa&sed away. T
trustees would like io take this opportunity to recognise Derek's contribution over the years.
FtNANCIAL REVIEW
Re5erve$ policy
All of the C￿￿ent reserves of the charity held for general purposes that are ongoing. The generdl unrestricted
reserves ai ihe year end w¢ie £594,395 (2023.. £606.934).
Th¢ ¢harity has made a net deficAt for the year of £12,539 (2023 swplus £4,971). Detaiis ar¢ shown on the Statement of
Financial Activities.
The charity h&s a rollit)g programme of refithishment for all of its properties in ord¢r to mainthin the desired stajthds.
Durin¥ tbe ye1￿ CO¥t5 aTELOUllting to £44,058 (2023: £29.644) were incurred.
FirruRE PLANS
There are ongoing proc¢sses in place to enable the charity to meet its objectives ¢llsur¢ the filture care and
happirt¢$s of its members coniinu&q.
The Tn]stees looking to retlrn services tt> normal now r¢stri¢ti(Trns and regulations have eased. The PTi
consideration in moiryng this forward will atw&ys be the welfare of the individuals living in thc properties and ￿￿killg
use of the faeiliti¢S.
