ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES
The provision of homes for aged coal miners and colliery workers.
GOVERNING DOCUMENT
Trust deed dated 18 February 1954, and Scheme of 4 Ottober 1978.
PERFORMANCE DURING THE YEAR
The Scheme continued to provide homes for aged miners, colliery workers and their dependant
relative5 at maximum occupancy level. The Scheme owns 14 bungalows located in Armthorpe.
Airedale, South Anston, Darfield, Hemsworth. Monk Bretton and Netherton currently providin8
residential accommodation for over 20 members of the mining community.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Scheme realised a surplus of £4,914 during the year ended 31 December 2024, after repair costs
of £13,982. The Trustees regard this as a satisfactory performance. The Accumulated Fund increased
to £161,204 of which £101,067 was represented by cash reserves held at the bank. The Trustees
consider the year end position to be satisfactory and that it ensures there are adequate funds available
for the provision of the Scheme's objectives.
SCHEME MANAGEMENT
During the Scheme yearthere were no changes to Scheme Management arrangements.
