The Charitable Trust was esiablished on 18 March 1988 by Philip John Leon Daviés in order lo asslst recognised
charities and help needy individuals. The Charitable Tnjst is a charity registered under number 259228.
Donations are rrTrade on the decision of the Iruslees, in accordance wlh the charity's objectives and taking into accounl
the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit.

The Charitls Trustees are responsible for weparing the Trustees Annual Report and Ihe financial slatements in
accordance wilh applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally A¢¢epied

The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the Tfustees lo prepare financial statements for each
nanci81 year which give a true and fair view of the slate of affairs of the Charity and of thè incoming resources and

ectlves and Aetlvltles for the Publlc Benefit..
The objecis of th& Tnjsl is lo support registered charilles and support needy individuals. The support lo needy
individuals is prowded through Ihe separate fund established in 1993, the Sam and Dora Davies Memorial Fund. This
fund is Irealed as a restncled fund in these accounts.
Durtng the year, the Iruslees donated £117,2001o registered charilSès.
During 1993 a separate fuixl was established - Ihe Sam and Dora Davies Memorial Fund. The purpose ol the lund was
to make inlefesl free loans lo people requiring such 4ssi51ance. During the year thè Iruslees lent £4,100, and prewously
advanced loans 01£6,150 We￿ retumed.
Flnanclal Posltlon:
The annexed ac¢ounts give details of the financial position of the Iwsl for the year ended 5 April 2024.
11 is expecled that a substantial portion of the loans currently outstanding lo the Sam and Dora Davies Memorial Fund
and amouftling lo £55,429 will b6 recoVe￿d. These funds will then be available lo re-lend.

The Charivs Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's Trustees consider that an
audit is not required for this year (under section 14412} of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Acll and that an independent
examination is needed.

Th& accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Slalemenl of Recommended Practice applicabl& lo
charities prepartng their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard effectiv8 1 January
2019, Financial Reporting Stamlard Numb8r102 and the Charities Act 2011 and applicablé regulallons.
The accounts have been Prepared under the historic cost convention wlh items recognised al cost or
transaction value.
Income recognltlon
Income is iecognised on¢e Ihe Iiusl has enlillemenls lo the income, Ihere is sufficient certainly or receipt and
so il is possible thal Ihe income will be weived, and the aMO￿nI ol income receivable can be measured
reliably.
