Objectives and Activities

The principal object of the charity is to provide a focus for Christian worship in South Ossett and to support the Community.

Regular Sunday Services and mid-weekly meetings were held throughout 2023

'Cafe Christos' a community support event on Fridays continued to attract 30/40 people each week.

Monthly Messy Church events were held on the afternoons of the fourth Saturday of each month (except August).

Debt and Benefit Advice and Post Natal Counselling was offered in partnership with the charity Lifeboat Community Project.

Financial Review

Unexpected extra expenditure resulted in an in-year deficit but the church accounts remain on a sound basis.

A return to a balanced budget over the next eighteen months is intended.

Year end reserves of £13,000 (33% of annual turnover) were held on general account.

The monies in the Buildings Account were expended on various property improvements. A further £5,000 donation were used to cover costs relating to a necessary re-wire of the church manse.
