The objectives and activities are the provision and maintenance of the village hall for the
inhabitants of the parish of Broughton. The trustees have paid due regard to the public
benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.
The Charl￿$ trading results are shown in the attached receipts and payments accounts. A
variety of fundraising events, including speaker evenings, quizzes and art displays together
with rentsl income from the Broughton Community Shop, has allowed the trustees to
continue the improvement of the facilities.
The trustees consider the financial position to be satisfactory, with an appropriate level of
reserves for the nature of the operation.

Trustees are Brian Keane, Geoffrey Elliott and Dominic McKay.
Objectives and Activities
The objectives and activities are the provision and maintenance of the village hall for the inhabitants
of the Parish of Broughton, and to benefit the local community. The hall is hired out for events ranging
from Pilates classes to weddings. Local and village club5 and charities are regular users.
Many fundraising events are run by volunteers to raise funds for the operation of the hall.
The trustees have paid due regard to the publc benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.
Achievements and performance
The charity's trading results are shown in the attached receipts and payments accounts.
A number of fundraisin8 events, including Call My Bluff, visiting speakers and art displays, together with
rental income and cost recovery from the Broughton Community Shop, have enabled the trustees to
maintain facilities. Grant income from local business and CoLtncils has enabled further improvement
to facilities including provision of a drop-in local hub.
Flnanclal Review
As stated, the charity's trading results are shown in the attached receipts and payments accounts.
Bookings for the the hall's various room5 appear to have stabilised.
Fundraising activity continues to be necessary to allow the management committee to further invest in
the upkeep and fabric of the building. significant ongoing maintenance 15 needed for the driveway and
parkin8, and recent storms have highlighted the need for improved rainwater drainage.
The trustees consider the flnancial position to be satisfactory, with an increased level of reserves
appropriate to the nature of the operation and forseeable circumstance5.

I. BASIS OF PREPARATION.
The accounts are prepared on a receipts and payments basis except for
the creation of a provision for a cumulative electricity error.
2. FIXED ASSETS and
RESTRICTED FUNDS
Fixed assets represent the historic net book value of extensions to
the village hall and are no longer depreciated under the receipts
payments basis,whi1st Restricted Funds represent the net book value
of the various 8rants received towards those extensions.

I report in respect of my examinatlon of the Charity's accounts carried out under section 145
of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable
Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my
attention in connection with the examination which give me cause to believe that, in any
