TRUSTEES REPORT
The Indian Religious Charitable Trust deed has becn amcndcd by a deed of variation
made on ihe i oth June 2022 by the TrusLees, and 1% .4upplcmenldl lo a declaration of
the trust made on 29tli day of Noveinber 1968 by the Trustees of the Indian Religious
and Chdritable Trust. The chaiily's object5 ds defined in the tnist deed ale to promote
the spiritual teaching and n]aintenance of the doctrines and the observance that se￿¢
to promote and manifest the￿ of the religious of the subcontinent, as practised by
those of the Community of the Greater Manchester area subscribing to such religions.

Gandhi Hall Brunswick Sireet, Manchester belongs to the Trust. During the last year
the charity fulfilled ils objectives as outlined in the Trust Deed. It has played an
integral part in providing the facilities in the hall to the local and Indian Community
at large to cater for their spiritual and cultural needs. The hall is used by the Hindu
Religious So¢iety for the temple. It is also used for sports by local communily. The
Indian Association, Manchester us¢5 the hall for cultural, social and educational
activities. The Greater Manchester Bengali Association uses the hall for religious
purposes. Malayalam Association uses the hall for culture and social activities.
The rnajor risks faced by the charity are the raising of the funds. The trust actively
seeks further opportuniiies lo increase income and strengthen its links within the
community. Income of thc charity is dcrivcd rnasnly from the hire of the hall and
donations.
Rcserve policy
There is no reserve policy but the Trust ha5 a surplus of net assets at the balance sheet,
in the surn of £191,541, which the trustees consider will be adequate for the eharity's
funding requirements for the near future.

I report on the accounts of the charity or the year ended 31 December 2024 which are
set out on pages 4 to 8.
R¢spective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
As Ihe charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the dCCOUlIts; you
consider that the audit requirement of section 144(2) of the charities Aci 201 I does
not apply. It is iny responsibility 10 State, on the basis of the procedures specified in
the General Directions given by the Charity Con]mission¢ts under Section 145(5)(b)
of the Act, wh¢ther particular rnatteT5 bave come to our attention.
Basis of examiner's stalement
My examination was casTied out in accordance with the Genernl Directions given by
the Ch3ri1y Commissioners. An Examination includes a review of the accounting
records kept by the charity and a comparison of ihe aLCOUllts presented with those
records. It also includcs consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts seeking explanation from you as a trustee conceti]ing any such matters. The
pn)cedures iindertaken do Thol provide all the evidence thdt would be required in an
audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opini()n on the view given by the
accounls.
