up the vole of Deputy Artistic Dlrector at the National Theatre. Rob's elRhi year tenure vi Sheffdd brou8ht a ¢o10ssal amounl of
artlStic success lo the theatres. from Olver At*ards to 8roadway Iransfers- and even an Honorary De8ree from Sheffleld Hallam
Unfversity. Rob left us with a grippin8 and movry prothcl#?n of a￿l￿t5 of Flre.
Rob's departure meant that we began a reuuitmeni process for a new All￿￿ Director durfj￿ 2024. and we were overknd to
appoint Ellzabeth Newman after an e¥cellent pr¢Jces& Elizabeth join5 U5 frorn ￿t10chry Festival Theatfe and take5 up her role In
December 2024.

away followln8 a lon8 baitle with caneer. Ros was far too young to leave us. and exceptlonalty popular In ihe or8anisatlon. She
joined us In 2016 as Assistant Sta8e Mana8er. and she too Is hu8ely mtssed by us all.
