The information is shared**<br>**throughout the specialty through**<br>**medical papers and presentations.**<br>**Projects have worked in conjunction**<br>**with other specialties at Alder Hey to**<br>**assess the impact of treatment, such as**<br>**chemotherapy, and other illnesses,**<br>**such as lupus, on children’s kidneys.**<br>**Support provided to enable a team to**<br>**enter British Transplant Games and**<br>**children attend with their parents and**<br>**siblings so the whole family can enjoy**<br>**the event. It helps all families as parents**<br>**can see how adults who were**<br>**transplanted as children have lived**<br>**active and fulfilling lives. The children**<br>**can meet others with similar challenges**<br>**of living with a transplant, and their**<br>**siblings meet other children who have**<br>**brother/sister with chronic condition.**|
