**Objects:** (1) TO ENSURE THE PRESERVATION FOR PROPER PUBLIC USE OF ALL EXISTING RIGHTS OF WAY(2) TO MAKE APPROPRIATE REPRESENTATIONS ON PROPOSALS FOR EXTINGUISHMENT OR DIVERSION OF SUCH RIGHTS OF WAY,  AND ON PROPOSALS WHICH WOULD SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT THE ENJOYMENT OF THE COUNTRYSIDE BY USERS OF SUCH RIGHTS OF WAY(SEE CLAUSE 3)

**Activities:** Protect and improve public rights of way throughout Oxfordshire. Report obstructions to County Council; monitor progress. Consider proposals for alterations to rights of way and resist unless significant public benefit. Make representations to Local Authorities on the maintenance, signposting and waymarking of rights of way. Organise a programme of walks to encourage wider use of the path network.
