DUNVANT MALE CHOIR "".'.- . Internal Audit of Accounts to 31 st December 2024 Auditors.. Mark Jones and Chris Jones Reviewer The Audit took place (Remotely via Google Meetup) on Sunday 09 February 2025 accounts were presented by Allan Rohman the DMC Treasurer. Due lo exceptional circumstances, that is, the treasurer having relocated lo Monmouth at the end of January 2025 and accounts not being completed until after this move. It was agreed by the Auditor and Chairman lo complete the audit remotely lo ensure accounts could be inspected and reported upon prior to AGM. The items that were looked at were: Action items from inter5m audit of 2nd October 2024 specifically updated asset list. this now Complete. ProfiULoss for year Event- Profit ILoss Breakdown. Balance sheet showing year end balances and any liabilities Donations made by the choir and receNed by the choir. Gift Aid position Musical team expenses Subscriptions from Mernbership Payment authorities and signatures Insurance certrficate validity. PROFITILOSS: The Accounts show a nel profit of £21838. This is made up of the event profits detailed below plus receiptsfincome from Grft Aid, Patrons. Donations. CD S81es, Raffle, Ton Club and Bank InteresL
EVENTS- INCOMEIEXPENDITURE Excluding the USA tour there were 22 events in 2024 which made a profit of £10758.88. Four event5 made a small loss the two most notable being from the Tour ofwales Concerts Ihese were.. 1. North Wales concerts made a small I(S mainly down lo High Cathedral Cost and a lack of ticket sales. (-£291.71) 2. St Davids was a loss mainly down again to high costs for Cathedral Hire and splitting profit with Haverfordwesl Male Choir. (-£185.20) Profit l L<>ss vs. Concert One recommendation for joint concerts arranged by DMC in fijture is to be aware of how splitting the profil ha5 impacted overall on the accounts. The Sl Davids concert in particular would have been profitable rf not for such an arrangement. SUBSCRIPTIONS.. The subscriptions for the year of £9975 just fall short of covering the running costs of the Choir at £10117. a small shortfall of £342. The bulk of the costs being the musical team at £6645, Chapel Hire £3000 and insurance of £472. All active members are now paying Ihe COeCt monthly fee of £15 and Ihe majority of these are by bank transfer considerably èasing the load on the treasurer.
GIFT AID: The choir has received Gift Aid payments from HMRC lotslling approx £7720. DONATIONS: The Choir received a total of £3300 in donations this year. the increase due to a single donation of $2000 as a result of the USA tour. This created an issue for the choir in that Barclays would not accept it. This led to the change of bank accounts from Barclays to Uoyds which was well managed by the Treasurer and committee. BANK ACCOUNT(S): Closing Bank Balances { Total of Lloyds plus Bardays at 31112120241 Main Accounts 16214.58 Subs 6577.84 Patrons 1963.65 Savings 60000.99 Total 84757.06 SUMMARY". We examined the Accounts to verify accuracy and checked records to comply wilh Charity Rules. We found that the Treasurer keeps very detailed records which comply with the rules ofthe Charity Commision. The recommendations made above in Event { income and expenditure ) should be taken forward by the committee. Mark Jones Revie y Chris Jones
