Trustees report for the year 2022
We have given to the P.C.C. as usual money for the grass cutting at Holy Trinity church Yard to keep it looking tidy.
Our volunteers who look after the churchyard have maintained the hedges and the wildlife area and the churchyard has many visitors for this reason as we have a wonderful show of spring flowers.
We also support financially St. Luke’s by paying toward a cleaner for the building. Volunteers clean the church area but as we have bookings in the lounge area and the hall, we employ a cleaner for a few hours a week to maintain these two areas and the toilets for the bookings.
We donated to the Buckfastleigh Library to support family work and reading.
We presented Buckfastleigh primary school book tokens to the year 6 leavers as they move on to their secondary school. This is always appreciated by the children and their families.
We gave our annual donation to the Buckfastleigh in Relief charity organization, and this supports families in the town.
We have been actively seeking new trustees, for the trust and have been interviewing people who live in the town who were interested in joining the trust and we invited them to
our November trustee meeting so they could see the way we work and discuss future ventures.
We have 5 people who are interested in joining the trust.
We also moved to online banking.
We will review our investments with our new trustees.
A year of change for us.
