During the yearto 30th June 2025, the Investment income. Interest recelved and profit on dlsposal of shares
generated by the fund amounted to £274.40412024- £97,049) whilst benefartlons reeebved In thls year we

As a prfndpal source of funds is dividends from Investments. Brewln Dolphln. the fund's stockbrokers, have
stated that their Investment strdtegy alms to provlde a bal•n¢ed return whilst taklng on a medlum level of rlsk.
All investments are made ￿thin ethical constrdints such as avoldlng direct investment in armament companles.
The trustees have establlshed a reserves pollcyi the hollng avallable balanee an amount equal to between 3 and 4
month5 operational eosts.
The available balance at the balance She￿ date was £381.55212024- £250A501. The trustees are satlsfied that

The fund is governed by a historic Trust Deed (dated Clrca. 16601, the temis and rules of which were amended on
15th September 1983.
The fund is a ehlrftable unlncorporèted body and is gLwerned by the rules of and In the above trust deed.
Recfullment and appolntment of newtrustees
When the trustees need to appoint a new tnistee to replace a twstee. it is placed on the next available trustees
meetlng agenda for discusslon. The members make thelrsuggestions and the board. after a dlscussion, a￿￿e
who should be approached. Sultable candidates need to be known for their pastoral sensitivity and have the
health and well belng of sick and ￿￿red clerg¥ at heart. Once approached and havlng accepted the invitatlon to
be a hjnd trustee, tlw are wekomed at the next meetlng.
The organisatlonal structure conslsts of trustees {the number of which Is noted In the accounts). volunteer clergy
who attend the day-to4ay operations of the fund Iv151ting retlred clergy to estsblish needl and the investrnent
management and a volunteer bo0kkee￿r.

New trustees are provlded wlth sultable documentation upon tskln8 UP post to ensure a gi)od knowledge of thelr
responsibilities. All members take an approprfate part in the splritual and practi(31 tssks involved in the
furtheran￿ of the charitsble objective.

The trustees have overall responslbility for ensuring that the Cha￿ty has an approprtate tystem of controls.

reasonable steps for the preventlon and detectlon of fraud ond other Irregularities, and to provide reassuran

l. Ageing clergy: Overthe next 10 to 15 years the level of grant payments Is experted to exceed ordinary
Income and hence. the fund seeks to find altemative means to finance this long term gap.
2. Dlmlnishing investment returns- As one of the key sources of income for the fund is dividend derived
from the Investment portfollo. the economlc dlmate Ilncluding the pandemlcl Is another area to
address.
3. Reputsthonal damage; As another key source of income Is voluntary donatlons. the fund Is mlndful of
the effect that negative publicity have on its avallablllty to fulfil its oblectfves.

Basls of preparlng the flnonclal ststements
The finandal statements of the charity. which Is a public benefit entity under FRS 102. have
been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FR$ 1021 'Atcounting and reporting
by Charities: Statement of Recommended prarti￿ appllcable to charities preparing their
accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard appllcable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland IFRS 102) (effective l January 20191., Financial Reporting Stsndard 102
The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the
Charities Act 2011. The flnanclal ststements have been prepared under the hlstoric cost
convention, with the exceptlon of investments v•thich are included at market value, as
modified by the revaluation of certain assets.
Income
All income is recognised In the Statement of Financial Activitie5 Once the charity has
entitlement to the funds, It is probable that the income will be received and the amount
can be reliably measured.
Expendlture
Liabilities are recognised as expendlture as soon as there is a legal or constructive
obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of
economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be
measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted on an accruals basis and has been
classlfied under headings that aggregate all c05t related to the cate80ry. Where costs
cannot be dirertly ?ttributed to particular headlngs they have been allocated to activities
on a bas15 consistent wth the use of resources.

The charity Is exempt from tax on ts charitsble artivitles.
Fund accountlng
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the
discretion of the tnistees.
Restricted fund5 can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objectives
of the charity. Restrictions arise when spe(ified by the donor orwhen funds are raised for
particular restricted purpose5.
