The Charlty Is governed by a Trust Deed dated 14 July 1967 as amended by order of the Charlty
Commissioners dated 16 November 2004 and s¢hedule of 27 January 2(KJ5
Trustees are elerted annually by the members of the Rotsry Club of Lewes
Decisions are made by th• m•mb•rs of th• Rotary aub ¢f L•w•s actin8 throu8h the Truste•s.
Publlc Benefft
The Charity provldes publlc beneflt by the provlslon of grants and donatlons to those consldered to
be worthy of support through disability, poverty, and general need. Due consideratlon has been
givèn to the Public 8enefit requirement under the Charities Art 2011.
Oblectfves •nd Artlvltlèj
The principal objective of the Charity is to raise funds through events, donations, and deeds of
covenant and to apply those funds for the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable
purpose a5 the member5 of the Rotsry Club of Lewe5 shall in a dilly ron5tituted meetin8 direct.
Main activities during the year were the Christmas Collection. County Town Dinner, SkFttles
tournament, and a Charity Golf Day.
The main planned activities for 2025/26 are a street collection at Christmas, a Skittles tournament,
the Lewes County Town Dlnner, and a Chartty Golf Day

Flnanclal Revlew
The total income of the Charity in the year was £41478. Admlnlstratlve and event costs totalled
£12124 leaving a surplus of £29354. Charitable donation5 and erants made In the year totalled
£35780 At the year end the Charity held £12829 of funds available for future charitsble donation5.
No reserves are held wlth all funds being available for distribution a5 required and agreed.
A¢hl•v•m•nts and Perforn￿nce
The Charity arhieved the fundralsln8 objertives for the year which enabled tht rharity to make
donations in accordance with the aims of the Charity.
Statement of Re5ponslbllftles
Charlty Law requlres the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each finanaal year whlch glve
true and fair vlew of the state of the Charlty and of its finan¢l•l a¢tlvltles for that perlod. In
preparing those financial 5tatement5 the Trustees :.
Select suitable accounting policie5 and then apply them consistently.
Make jud8ements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
State whether the policies adopted are in accordance with applicable accounting
standards, Subject to any materlal departures d15c105ed and explalned In the
financial statements.
Prepare the financial statements on the goin8 concern basis unless it Is
inappropriate to assume the Charity will continue in business.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the
flnanclal statefflents comply with the Charitles Act 2011. They are also responslble for safe8uafdln8
the a55et5 of the Charity and hence for tsking reasonable steps for the preventlon of fraud or other
irrggularitig5.

concernin8 any su¢h matters. The procedures undert•ken do not prowde all the oviden¢e that would

Accounts.
