Notes to the Financial Statements The accounts are prepared on a receipts and payments basis. The Church accounts have been examined by Mrs J Davies as an independent examiner. The material matters of interest this year are: Premises are estimated only and are not as the result of professional valuation. The church sutlered substantial damag¢ following break ins in mid-year resulting in extensive damage, repairs and insurance claim. The main damage was to the hedting systems and resultant flooding. It is my responsibility to state, on the basis of procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners under section 43(7)(b) of the Act, whether particulaT matters have come to my attention. My examination was carried out in accordance ￿7th the General Dtrections given by the Charity Commissioners. An examinaiion includes a review of accounling records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounis presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounls and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning such rnatters.
