Report of the trustees
For the Year Ended 30th June 2022
The Trustees present their Report along with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 30th June financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financia Standard for Smaller Entities (FRSSE) (effective January 2015) and with the Statement of Recomended Practice "Acc Reporting by Charities" (SORP) and the Charities Act 2011 and comply with the charity’s trust deed and applicable law.
Constitution and objects
The Rotary Club of Stourbridge Charitable Trust is constituted under a trust deed dated 3rd May 1967 and is a regist number 252538.
The charity is a member organisation of Rotary International and it's objects are to raise funds and apply them to t purposes:
a) The relief of poverty and distress either by direct payments to individuals in necessitous circumstances contributions to such charitable organisations or funds already existing for this purpose as may be approv Trustees
b) The advancement of education and religion by contribution to individuals or to such educational or reli organisations or funds established for charitable purposes only as may be approved by the Trustees.
Trustees
The trustees who have served during the year and since the year-end are set on page 1. Trustees are appointed by t trustees and serve indefinitely. The trustees meet as required to discuss the affairs of the charity.
Review of the year
During the year the Trust’s income from various fundraising events was £6,741 (2021: £210) and donations and o totalled £18,836 (2021: £17,611). The expenditure incurred in generating fundraising and other income was £2,223 (20
In response to the very many deserving cases the trustees, after exercising their discretion, made donations and grant of £22,690 (2021: £17,133).
The trustees are, as always, extremely mindful of the voluntary assistance that continues to be so generously given their thanks to all concerned.
In conclusion, the trustees are very satisfied with the trust’s performance, and are confident that it will continue positively to alleviate the ever-increasing needs of the local community, The Rotary Foundation and worldwide h causes.

Independent Examiners' Report to the Trustees of The Rotary Club of Stourbridge Charitable Trust For the Year Ended 30th June 2022
I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 30th June 2022, which are set out on pages 4 and 5.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:

examine the accounts (under section 145 of the Charities Act);

follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission
-
(under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act); and
-
state whether particular matters have come to my attention;
Basis of independent examiners' report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in a consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair' view and the report is limited to th set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner’s statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements

to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; and

to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting

requirements set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008.
