## **BASILDON TABLERS CHARITABLE TRUST** – Charity Commission Number 252270 Trustees Report for Period 1 April 2024 – 31 March 2025 The Charitable Trust is created for general charitable purposes for children / young people, elderly / old People, people with disabilities, other charities and voluntary bodies directly and by making grants to organisations. The Charity runs an annual firework display on 5 November and a Christmas float collection and other fundraising activities. No external funding is received from any organisations, our cash reserves are all self generated. For this period, the Charity conducted a very successful fireworks display, greatly assisted by the availability of Basildon Sporting Village premises in Gloucester Bark, Basildon. Our annual Christmas float was also very successful, touring the streets of Basildon district (pre-determined and advertised), bringing substantial joy to those who come to see it. There are 5 permanent members (all volunteers), assisted by 10/20 other members and volunteers at the two main fundraising events detailed above. We invite individuals/other small charities etc to apply for funding, grants, each application being considered by separate committee after due diligence. Largest grant(s) provided for this period were £1000.00 and we also purchase and donate >200 individual presents at Christmas time, to children who may not otherwise receive any gifts. Objectives are to continue with what we are already doing, if able to recruit any more members this may give us scope to undertake more fundraising events. We have plans to organise and run a Duck race in the near futire All funds are held in Bank accounts, none are held as custodian trustees form other charities/individuals.
