Our thanty dedrated to PfovidiThJ serv#% to our local eldedy population. We
prowde lunch clubs on Mondays. Tuesdays. and Thursdays and provide
transport for those needing rt. Our enbre operation staffed wrely by
volunteers.
Apart from the obvious teneffits of home<ooked nutritious food. our lunch clubs
provide an important serwce of soaal contact. The majority of our members a
without partner5 and for many of those, ours is the only opportunty they have for
regU￿r company and a b￿ak from soc￿1 isolation.

The lunch dub volunteers provided 27fyJ cooked lunches thi$ year.
The mini-bus arKI irs volunteers made 12W retum trips to and from our
members homes to the dub.
Every lunch nEmber re￿Ned a birthday eard and grl a Christmas card and
present. and an Easter egg.
We provided, the Summer cwm tea event. the VE day celebration event and
Chri*mas mince-pie event, all of which included ftM)d and entertainment.
We also provbyed the annual Christrnas lunch.
The ear pat* was repaired and resurfaced, making ar£ess to the dub
easier for both Buggies and all hall users.

The charity agreed to hold a £20,000 in reserve to cover the
repairs. and refurbishment of tho building and land.
It will also hold £6000 to cover unexpected running costs.
Reserve at year end was £17.000 plus £6100 for unexpected runnlng

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Age Concern Hayling Island for
the year ended 31°, May 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act'l.
I ieport in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of
the 2011 Act and in carrying Out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions
given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confinn that no material matters have come to my
allention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material
respect-
1. accounting records were not kept in respect ofthe Trust as required by section 130 of the
Act- or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the
examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.
