FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Societys Receipts and Payments Account for the year ended 20 S¢ptember 2024 sbows tt surplus for the
period of £12,125. Cash reserves stood al £200.210 at the year end.
At the siart of the year £40,000 was invested into a CCLA Deposit a¢eount to provide a high¢r return on the cash
reserves of the society. Separnte cash deposits are held with HSBC and Shawbrook banks lo manage risk
The 2024 show had an excellent attendance which was refiected in ￿0rd gate receipts and contifju¢d gr0￿h in
trade stands income. Overnll ¢osts have risen. in part due to increased costs s¢tting up a n¢w show ground which
bas led io a low¢r net surplus this year.
Th¢ show was again aided by good weather this year and success of previous shows, however. as costs continue to
rise alld weath¢r events more unpredictable, it is important that the Society do not b¢¢ome complacent.
