Basis of independent examin&rf$ report:
My examination was carried out in aCCordar￿e %ilh the General Directions given by the Charity
Commissioners. An examination indudes a iev*w of the accounting records kept by Market Weighlon
War Memorial Institute board arKI a cornparison of the finanaal statements with Ihtsse records. It a150
includes consideration of any unusual rtems or disclosures in the financial statements. and seeking
explanats.ons from you as trustees conceming such matters. The prc￿dures do not provide all of the
evidence that would be required in an audrt, consequenuy no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts
P￿sent a 'true and fair vie* and the report is limrted to those matters sel out in the statement below.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
1.1 8asis of preparation
The financial statements of the charity have been prepared in accordance with the Charities Act
2011 using the Receipts and Payments Basis.
1.2 Grants and donations
A donation or grant lo the charity is recognised as incoming funds when all the followng conditions
have been met..
lal The charity is legally enlilled lo receipt.,
Ibl There is reasonable assurance of receipt., and
Ic} Its monetsry value can be measured with sufficient reliabilty.
1.3 Fund accounting
Incoming resources that may be applied for the chaThly's general purptsses are treated as
"unrestricted. incoming resources and are credited to Ibe°unreslricted funds.. Funding for purposes
designated for a specific purpose by the Trustees is ¢redited to °designated funds.. Where a
donation or grant is required to be used for a specrfic purpose, the amount concerned is treated as
a °restricle(I" incoming resource and is credited to the appropriate°restricled fund..
1.4 The charity is registered in the UK and has the benefit of exernption from UK lax liabilty provided
any surplus made by the charity is used lor charitable purposes.
