OWECTIVES AND A￿1VITIEs
The Foundation's objett is to provide hdp where it Is needed to employee5, their relatives and former
employees of the dairy industry.
The Trustee5 have pald due regard to guldance issued by the tharity Commisslon In deciding what aLtivitle5 the
Foundation should undertake.
The Foundatlon caffres out Its objectives by promdlng grants to a number of Indlvidua15 and organlsatlon& The
TrLStee5 are fully sa￿s￿ed that the Barham BenevcAent F￿ndation operates for the wider public benefft in all
that It does In Its charitable activltle
ACHIEVEMENfs AND PERFORMANCE
The Foundation's Trust Deed en3￿eS it to make grants for hardship cases in the dairy reL4ted industry and for
e(lucation by way of bursaries to C￿leg￿ and unlversltjes kn research in dairy related subjects. Ihe
Foundatlon cOn￿nuES to fund or cor)tribute to the cost of holldays and provide financial asslstance with
accommodation in appropriate eases.
The Foundation made grants totslllnB £201,257 {2024: £263,072) to indI￿dual$ and educational IrLStitutions
during the year. These payments have been made possible by the links that the Foundation has with other

benefiaaries.
During the year the FourK13tion made welfare payments to 1712024: 171 fomier employees of the Dalry trade
amounting to a total of £62,55412024= £50,025). The trustees target ￿ to spend all the available income each
year in accordance ￿th temis of the Trust Deed and full review of the ongdng benefiaarie5 both IndlvlduaLs

FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Foundation received Investment income of £173,325 12024.. £165,971) durfng the year and there was
totsl charitable expenditure of £275,987 12024: £338,597}. The fund balances as at 31 March 2025 were
£6,166,40912024'. £6,182,098).
The Trustees, intention is to maintain sufficient reserves to ￿er the antldpated costs of the Foundatlon with
any surplu5 funds not distribLrted being reinvested. These reqU1￿ments are kept tontinualty under rwriew and
no flxed amount is deemed appropriate.
The Trustees Intend that the real walue of the Foundation assets and the Income from them %MII be malntalned
over the long term subject to any major tluctuations in income or expenditure. In the agreement with Bardays
Wealth and wlth Investec Weatth and Investment Inow Rathbonesl, who a￿ both appointed on a discretlonary
basis. the Trustees have selerted a balanced Investment objectNe with medium risL The proportion invested
