Activities

The charity exists to run the Bardsey Bird and Field Observatory, one of the Bird Observatories of England and Wales. The Observatory carries out monitoring work of the flora and fauna of the island.

Objects: (A) The Maintenance Of The Established, Accredited Bird Observatory (As Defined By The Bird Observatories Council) On Bardsey. (B) The Study Of The Natural History Of Bardsey And Adjacent Habitats. (C) The Publication Of Reports On The Work Of The Observatory And Of Any Other Matter Relevant To The ‘Objects’ Of The Society. D) The Conservation Of Animal And Plant Life In The Area In Line With Current Priorities. (E) Co-Operation With National And Local Bodies, Educational Authorities And Others, In Furthering The Study Of Natural History Of The Island And Adjacent Habitats. (F) Education Of The Visitors To The Island And The Wider Public, About The Natural History Of The Island And Adjacent Habitats.
