## **Objectives:** 

Rossington Good Neighbours promotes the welfare of the elderly and vulnerable residents in the Parish of Rossington. Our customers are 50+ but we welcome their carers or family members who assist in their wellbeing. During this year we have widened our remit to include Rossington Outreach Group which is a respite service for Adults with Learning Disabilities. 

## **Principle Activities:** 

Every Wednesday and Thursday a freshly cooked two course meal is provided at Rossington Memorial Hall. We use fresh ingredients and employ two cooks to ensure a good standard is upheld. We submit a menu to our customers every month and alternatives are available if required. We rely heavily on local volunteers who come to help prepare the vegetables, serve the lunches and clear up afterwards. 

We also have a delivery van that delivers to those who are unable to attend the Memorial Hall. 

Prices for the meals have been kept at £3.50 for lunch at the Hall and £4.00 if delivered. Even at these low prices, because of our continued efforts to keep costs down we still manage to make a small profit. 

## **2020 2021 Achievements:** 

This year has been difficult due to Covid-19. We had to close the service completely in March 2020 but managed to re—open for deliveries in June 2020. We saw a very positive uptake for delivered meals and at one point we had to utilise three vehicles to get the deliveries completed and had to advertise for more volunteer drivers to manage this. As the year progressed, we managed to get that down to two vehicles due to the drivers getting use to the route and being more efficient. 

We were heavily supported through the year with grants from many companies, national and local. This helped the Good Neighbours charity greatly and we cannot thank these companies enough for their support. 

## **Funding:** 

As stated we gained grants from many businesses: 

Awards for All, Co-Op, YAPP, Rossington Parish Council, Rotary Club, SYCH, Lions, Verdion, Rossington Produce, Doncaster Council Ward Members. 

## **Reserves:** 

At the end of March 2019 we had £19495 reserves. This is an increase on the previous year. 

## **Looking Forward:** 

For 2021 2022 we are hoping to reinstate the served meals in the Memorial Hall in August 2021. Everything depends on the Covid-19 situation 

## **Insurance:** 

Rossington Good Neighbours are covered by Zurich Municipal Public Liability Insurance

## **AUDIT SERVICE FOR ROSSINGTON GOOD NEIGHBOURS – 2020 2021** 

There are NO significant problem areas indeed the Accounts are very carefully and logically presents and all available in one place. 

Various tests were employed which ascertained that the accounts were free from material error and there are no items of concern.
