PRINCIPAL OBJECTS
The objects of the Tnjst are exclusively charitable. including the proctamatK)n of the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus

STATUS
Elmfield Evangelistic Trust was established as a Charitable Trust by a Trust Deed dated 24 March 1*6.

SUMMARY OF MAIN ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
The Trustees accepted the resignal￿n of Nicholas Thomhill wrth regret, underslanding however that this was due
to his removal from the district and in no way Indi￿ted any disagreefnenl ￿th the Principal Objects or operations
of the Trust. Due thanks were expressed to him for his contrbbubons lo Trusl business and to his service to the
church.
Restrictions irnposed as a result of the Covid19 pandern￿ meant that the Tnjstees were unable lo meet in person
during the year bul a meeting vras hehj ewronically in Febfuary 2021 to confrmi agreements for action taken as
a result of electronic communications during the year and to consider Trust business as appropriate. The financial
situation of the Trust had been fvlly examined during the year thanks to the data provided by the Church Book
Keeper, noting the reduction of ino)rne. mainly due lo lack of donations for use of the premises p￿luded by
Covid19 restrictions, resulting in use of balance5 to meet expellditure. All expenditure over agreed budget limits is
carefully controlled by the Treasurer and Church Book Keeper. The Twst was, however. able lo continue its
support of rnission work in Zambia, Peru, South Afn"ca. Kenya and Moldova as well as funding for of the Harrow
Street Pastors, Finn FOundat￿n Night Sheiier fof Homeless in Harrow from January to March, R.E. and
Assemblies led in primary schools by Regeneration
Harrow Schools Link Trust, Harrow Focyjbank and
Churches Together in North Harrow, thus fijlfilling the Trusfs wder princtpal obpth'ves in the I(￿1￿.
No Trustee has made a claim for expenses during the year as all Trustees accept that thwr tr"m8 and expertise is
freely available lo the Twst.
The previous wide range of activrhes at Elmfield Church was severely constrained during the year. When
meetings for worship were allowed after November. worship servi05 Wrth Communion were held on Sunday
mornings at the chuich wrth social distsncing, mask wearing and $an￿"Sa￿'0n carefvlly observed. Children and
youth group activities. prayer meetings house gTOUPS ft)r Chri5tsn frlbwship and Bible study and English as
Second Language classes were camed on. to vartous extents. by electronic means. The monthly provision of a
meal developed into distnbutson of up to 40 meals to homes for those who would have p￿vIOUslY attended the
Senior Citizens, Lunch Club In person. Sadly il was not possible to continue the 'Drop in. session for soup &
sandwiches for over 65s, the annual Holiday at Home for over 60s or the Holiday Club for Primary school age
children The ever popular fireworks display in November which in past years had attracted an aUd￿ThCe of nearfy
200 was cancelled. An inlemab'onal meal was enjoyed 'on line. in February. Due to restn'ctions on the size of
groups meeting the Ladies, Craft group. Faith Church Ministries. a Tamil speaking church fellowship, Sunday
services. Chair Pilates class for over 60s on Wednesday aftetnoons, and the Zumba class for younger ladies on
Friday aftemoons could no longer be accommodated. As a sefvice to Vulnerable People, the meetings ol
Alcoholics Anoriymous were held each V•Eek, observing ￿$tri￿.0ns as appropriate. Down Your Street,, the
Church news letter. was published 3 bmes reaching over 1.500 homes in the neight￿Urho0d of the church.
The Charity Commission requirements of Public Benefft are. the Trustees consKler. mel through these activrties.
Thè Safeguarding Officer, who is a Trustee and Church Leader oversees the safeguarding of children and
vulnerable adults together with Health & Safely requirements of COV￿19 guidance and regulation lo which the
Trustees and Church Leadership Team are fully committed. Good working practic£s as recommended by
government gu￿elineS indudmg safe recruitment of workers are followed. A formal safeguarding pa1￿Y is in
place.
