Non-Ecclesiastical Branch Trustees Report
This Charity is a branch of the Barker Bridge House Trust that is registered with the
Charity Commission as Charity Number 202808.
This report notes the resignation of trustee Tony Bradbury. Tony had been a trustee for
many years and had provided valued service. The Trust thanks him for his service- his
experien￿ and expertise in local matters will be missed.
The Barker Bridge House Trust derives its income from the rents due on property and land
in Datchet. The income re￿iVed by the Trust, after deduction of operating cost, donates
its entire income to the Church Branch and the Non-Ecclesiastical Branch in the ratios
40160.
The Trust income in 2020 was seriously affected by the Covid-19 pandemic such that,
whilst a modest sum was re￿ived. there was no disbursement to the Church Branch or
the Non-Ecclesiastical Branch. However, a￿hOUgh income was interrupted for 2020,
aSsuran￿S were given that the full amount due would be forthcoming before the end of
2021 . This means that the Non-Ecclesiastical Branch can expect to receive sum of
£45000 (foty five thousand pounds) in respect of income due for 2020- this sum is
presented on the Balan￿ Sheet. For 2021, to help ensure the viability of the Trusts
primary asset, the Datchet Stag Public House. the Trust agreed to a 3-month rental free
period in 2021 with a consequent reduction in funding re￿Ipt for the Church and Non-
Ecclesiastical Branch.
The Non-Ecclesiastical Trustees are required to apply the clear income of the Non-
Ecclesiastical Branch for such charitable purposes as they think fit for the benefit of the

inhabitants of the area of the Ancient Parish of Datchet, with the proviso that such income
shall not be applied in relief of rates, taxes or other public funds.
Although the pandemic interfered with nonnal business, the Non-Ecclesiastical trustees
conducted urgent business by means of email and, during a lull in the lockdown conditions,
met in person on 3 August to conduct the ne￿SSary business in respect of election of the
Chair and finalising the annual account I reports. During the course of the year, the Non-
Ecclesia
cal Branch consider applications for awards from the community of Datchet
ingt
e Datchet Corona Volunteers, a group that fomied to support the less fortunate
th
course of the pandemic. Atthough there was no real income re￿iVed in year. the
esiastical Branch was able to make awards amounting to £43,711.50.
