The main aim of the 2023r24 financial year was to sustain and build Dn the increased income generation from the
tharity's eamed Irwjme. Teducing the naed for Support funding. Substantial progress has been made in Ihis
objectpie since 2016. where Ihe gap betsyeen income and expenditure has closed significantly. The Theatre's new
auditorium sealing and improved assels provtde the platt0￿ far an increased and more diverse range of adimties.

Posllive feedback has been receiv9d throughout the year for all public a￿aS ol the the81￿, induding excellent
feedback for'Th8 Georgian Theatre Experience. touis a¥ well as live performanc8s. Audiences have enjoyed a wide
varioty of perfonn8nces from a laigo array of companies. including The John Godber Company, Elysium Theatre
Colledve, Lucy Adlinglon, and Oui Stsr Theatre Co- to name but 8 few.
We have added an additional Amateur perfomiance company to the programme. with Tre Castle Players now
taking to the Georgi8n Sta￿ - they performgd a wonderful show calle(1 Our Town. which sold out for iwo
perfomaneas. As w&ll as our usual 81aples of Richrnond Amateur Orarnalic Souety wilh Whisky Galore and
Macbeth and Rkhmond Operatic Society who performed their Centenary Concert and HMS Pinalore.
The Th￿trO On￿ again hc8led some wonderful productions from Rithmond School and Sth F¢m, indudlng
exam pleces and pgrfomiances from their drama club. Mowbray School -
local prlmary school that cares for
childr8n leaming d6ffiCU￿88- performed a lovety Serles of choral songs. They are already booked In for another
show In 8aty 2025.
Th& Ir￿hoUse pantomime thls ygar wgs 'Rapunzel'. which was extremety welkreceived by audiences #nd brok8 box
offi¢8 rswrds again. Nlck O'connor not only wrote the script, bul relumed as the dame. and Ihere wa$ a mix ol
provlous performers and newcomers to the Georgian as well as the Youn9 Company who as usual were an
9xcellenl team of10¢81 perfomiors.
Youth Theatre members have been vary Active enjoying regular sessions and addFUonal guest workshops. They
worked tirelessly to ensure $01Sd productions of theiT six shows. The senior group Igckiing Some thought provoking
plays th81 looked at both the good and bad influerbce of soctal media as well as a pirate themed show for the
Juniors. Th& largest of the Ytsulh Theatre classes are the Musical Theatre groups who performad a beautiful show
alled Ohl Be My Mu8vical which ran for Iwo nights and sold extremelywell. They go from strength to slrength.
The Georgian Theatre Royal continues to play a vital part In the artisllc and sooal lives of the various cornmunilles il
serves. We rernain gf81eful to the support received from our Friends, and for Ihe partnership working we undertake
th lo￿1 attractions and communlty groups.
The many and vartod achlevemenis continue to bè dèlivgrad by a committed and passionale Igam ol staff and
volunteers at The Georgtan Theatre Royal. ThefÈ are currenuy eight members of stsff and 90 volvnleers who work
tireles81y lo deliver the Theatre's educational. ojllural and herilage provtsion. Tho team is 8upported by 8 most
