Ob'ectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the
charity set out in its
governing document
Income received is to be used for payment to the Minister of Buckland
and Cote Chapel, and forthe benefit of the poor of the congregation.
Having taken legal advice the Trustees consider the original purposes of
the Charity, in whole or in part, cannot be carried out and they no longer
provide a suitable and effective method of using the whole of the
Charity's propety, and a cy-près occasion has arisen.

There were no donations made in this or the previous year as there is
currently no Minister in place at the chapel.
The Trustees have complied with the duty under the Charities Act 2006
to have due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on
public benefit. The Trustees use this guidance to identify causes in the
forward planning of the Trust.
Any surplus funds at the end of the year are retained by the Trust to help
further its aims.

Essential expenditure was incurred as the Trustees continue to take legal
and professional advi￿ in relation to the long term aims of the Charity.
A cy-près application has been made to the Charity Commission in order
to enable to Charity to amend its objects with a view to providing a
broader benefit within the area it operates than is currently the case.

Financial review
Review of the charity's
financial position.
The Trust was in receipt of bank interest during the year. There were
fees incurred lowards governance issues relating to the long term aims of
the Charity
The Trustees review current and funding needs on a regular basis to
ensure funds held are sufficient.

Unrestricted funds are used in accordance with charitable objectives at
the discretion of the Trustees.
Endowment funds are held in accordance with the governing document.
Cash reserves as at 31 December 2023 were split between unrestricted
and endowment funds, as set out in the receipts and payments account.
It is the long-term policy of the Trustees to re-invest funds into a
diversified range of investments to provide the charity with a viable
income stream and ca
rowth.
