**Objects:** (A) TO STIMULATE PUBLIC INTEREST IN AND CARE FOR THE BEAUTY, HISTORY AND CHARACTER OF THE AREA OF THE TOWN AND ITS SURROUNDINGS. (B) TO ENCOURAGE THE PRESERVATION, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF GENERAL PUBLIC AMENITY OR HISTORIC INTEREST. (C) TO PURSUE THESE ENDS BY MEANS OF MEETINGS, AND PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION OF SCHEMES OF A CHARITABLE NATURE.

**Activities:** The Society was formed over 50 years ago to ensure the highest standards for the development of Altrincham, with the aim of creating and maintaining an environment which is pleasant and attractive for its residents to live in and enjoy. It has in recent years been particularly concerned to influence ongoing major developments in the town.
