The Brotherhood Hall is run by a board of trustees that meet on a regular basis. Its main aim is to serve the local community and provide a building that all groups can use at a reasonable hire rate. Our trustees are made up of local business owners and volunteers from sporting clubs and other local organisations.
The last year continued to be a bit challenging, but we have kept going, most of our regular hirers have returned to the hall and, in fact, we have seen a few new ones. The ongoing cost of living crisis is a bit of a worry now, with many local halls increasing their hire costs. We as a trust met in the spring and decided to hold our prices for this year and see where we are at the end of this financial year.
Our aim is and always will be to serve the local community and we only need to make enough profit to keep the building up to scratch.
We have scheduled decorating works in the main hall for this summer and have updated the lights to LED which include emergency lighting.
