Annual Report for reporting year 2023

The year dated to April 2023 saw an increase in grant requests following the unexpected decline during the Covid period and its immediate aftermath where we were supporting local organisations with outgoings/premises to maintain, but no income.

We continued to provide the sporting excellence bursary for the local senior school, Charters School. Other approved requests varied from our local hospices, Thames Hospice and Sebastian’s Action Trust, to specific medical charities such as MacMillan Cancer, MyAware (Myalgia), teaching support and community-based charities such as Family Friends.

We also supported local sports clubs in their coaching work with young people and the provision of transport to allow new Ukrainian refugees in the area to access English language classes.

The balance of funds the charity holds is still positive and we are actively seeking ways to further encourage new grant applications from organisations and, where appropriate, individuals within the Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale community.
