Chairmans Report 2022/2023
The last two years Covid has changed the nature of demand for funds with 2020/21 being a year when we supported local organisations who had premises to maintain and no income, The DASH Charity that supports women suffering from domestic abuse which became more prevalent during lockdown, charities that provide training to volunteer organisations including the many new groups that did an amazing job supporting the vulnerable. We also contributed to a programme driven by the Hope Charity to provide laptops to primary schools.
The world changes very quickly and in the past year many local clubs did not reopen their doors which reduced demand for funding. However, we supported the Sunninghill Reading Room Trust and the Sunninghill Library, Bracknell CAB, local primary schools and Men in Sheds but we did not award all the funds available and will be pleased to receive applications for grant from organisation in the Ascot area.
