Huby W I. . ris a b anch of the National Association of Women's Institutes. We are a women's o rganisation whose main purpose is to a dvance the education of women and girls for the public beneft in all a reas for example

  1. Local, national and international issues of political and social importance. 2.Music, drama and other cultural subjects 3. All b ranches of agriculture, c rafts, home economics, science, health and social welfare.

Membership is open to all women who have reached their majority; after paying her membership fee.

The committee a re elected each year at the Annual meeting and ra e responsible for the running of the W I ; o. . rganising speakers and social activities.

In a normal year the W I. . would have monthly meetings, outings, c raft sessions and social gatherings. However in the year 2020-2021 our activities have been severely curtailed due to the pandemic. In a normal year all the above activities would have taken place.

The money we have at our disposal has come f rom the sale of our own hall. The p roceeds being used for the beneft of all our members and the local community.

The end of 2021 saw things getting back to normal with monthly meetings taking place and a Christmas meal. Plans were put forward to our members to make future donations to several local g roups including scouts, village hall and local playground. Members were asked for any other rg oups that they would like to beneft in the future.
