Rev Lynn Chapman will be instituted as the rector of Little Melton All Saints and will be¢ome the
Ex-ofricio trustee on 3 April 2024. Mr J Leverett was c(H)pted as a trustee following the
resignation of M r J McDonald.
The Twstees have held two meetings in the past year including the amiual inspection of the
a]lotments.
Allotments
Significant expense has been incurred as wotk had to be UT]dertak¢n to re-arrange some of the Mill
Road allotments to enable a track along the ditch running some 250 metr¢s from Mill Road to
(ireat Melton Road to k mad¢. This is to providc acc¢ss for contractor's plant so that the ditch can
be readily maintained to ensure the flow of watrr is possible to prevent future flooding of Mill
Road.
Most of the allotmenls are currently tenanted and generally cultivated to a very high 5tandaTd.
Fencing backing on to housing on the Great Melton Road allotsnent ha5 been replaced.
The Best Kept allotment voucher was awarded to Ewa Lagodzinsk
Orsted
Initial surveys have been complet¢d and fields adjoining the Great Melton Road allotments have
becn staked and roped off.
Orsted are coverang thc Charlty's expenses in relation to this work and are compcnsating the
ch&￿ilY for loss of income.
Financial report
Income for the year w&$ significantly higher du¢ to compensation from Orsted. Payments to
beneficiaries were less as there was not the exceptionally high demand for h¢lp with oil payments
that we had last year.
Financial assistance ¢ontinues to be considered by the TTUStees mostly for help with domestic fuel
costs and school unifomis and trips.
Th¢ primary aim of thc Chartty is to provide &ssi51ance to the residents of the I,ittle Melton area
who are 5uffcring need. hardship or distress. All applications are ¢onsidered in strict confidence.
