Report of the trustees
The trustses present thelr report with financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Structurei governance and management
The Little Houghton Charity I'the Chariv) was e5tsblished for charitsble purposes by a Scheme dated 4 May 2004 to
govem charities previously known as111 Little Houghton Town Estates Charity {21 Little Houghton Charity and131 Little
Houghton Church Land and Little Houghton Church Cottages.
Trustees
The present membershlp of the goveming body is set out on page l.
The trustees are appointed under the Scheme and subject to spotrfic exclusions, trustees are appointed for Ilfe.
Risk assessment
The trustees have assessed any risks to whlch the Charlty may be exposed, and conclude that they are of rnlnlmal, If any•
slgnlflcance. No Rrsk policy has therefore been wrltten.
Objectlves and activities
In accordance with the Scheme the Charl￿S principal objective is to hold a55ets Bnd Incorne therefrom for the purp05e5 of
the Charity namely for the provision of houslng accommodation, for the rellef of persons rÈsidÉnt in the area of beneflt
who are In need, hèrdship or di5tres5, and for the repèlr and rnolntenance of the Church of St Mary the Vlrgln In the parlsh
of Little Houghton in the County of West Northamptonshire and the Diocese Of Peterborough, together wlth its goods and
ornaments and its churchyard.
The role of the trustees is to hold the funds of the Charity and to apply the Income therefrom for the benefit of indNiduals
and the parish church.
Achlevements and performance
The trustees maintaln their policy of provldlng accommodatlon for ellglble persons, for the help of those in need, and for
the purposes of the Church of St Mary the Vlrgln. Llttle Houghton.
The maln works during the year related to the re-roaflng of the four cottages.
Assets
The freehold property Wa5 professlonally revalued on 31 December 2019. The valuatlon for the land has been estimated
at a figure reflecting recent Sale transactlons for small parcels of agricultural land in Northamptonshlre.
Investment policy and financlal revlew
rhe trustees continued to ensure that a reasonable level of Incorne was achleved In order to malntaln properties in a good
state of repair and to further the objects of the Charlty.
Reserves policy
All of the fund5 of the Charity are restrirted and therefore there are no'free, reserve5.
Publlc benefit
In accordance wlth its constitution the Charity provldes housing accommodatlon and funds for the a5sistsnce of those In
need. and for the Maintenan￿ of the parlsh church.

The trustees are responslble for maintsining proper accountinE records; for preparlng annual fInancial statements. for
safeguarding the a55ets of the Charlty and for taklng reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud or

Dlvldends and Interest on Shareholdings
All Income is re-invested.

The income fundls restricted and Is used for the specific purposes as laid down in the Charfity Scheme. Expendlture for
those purposes Is charged to the fund.

REPORT of the Independent Examiner to the trustees
I report on the financlal statements of the Little Houghton Charity for the year ended 31 December
202 which are set out on pages 5, 6 and 7.
My report is made in accordance with the regulations made by the Charities Act 2011. Under that
Act. the trustees are of the opinion that a full audit is not required.
Basis of Independent Examlnels Report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directlons given by the Charity
Commission.
That examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison
of the financial statements presented wlth those records.
The procedures undertaken did not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audlt and
consequently I give no opinion as to whether the financial statements present a 'true and fairf view
and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent Examinerfs statement
In connectlon with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements
to keep accounting records in accordance with the said Act and
to prepare statements whlch accord with the accounting records and comply with the
accountlng requirements of the Act:
