I report to the trustee5 on rny examination of the account5 of WiniffÈd Bamford Hesketh A1rn5houses for thL yÈar ended
31 December 2022, which are set out on page$ 4 to S.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the Charity you aTe responsible for the preparation of the attounts in accordance with the requirements
of the Charities Att 2011 I'the Act'l. You consider that an audit 15 llQt required for this year under Section 144121 of the
Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's accounis carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in
carrying OLrt my ex3rnin3tion I have followe(l all the applicable Direction5 given by the Charity Commission under Section
14515llbl of the Act. The procetlures underraken do not provide all the evidence that would be iequired in an audit and
consequently no opinion 15 given as to whether the accounts present a'true and fairiview, and the report 15 limited to
those matters set out in the statemeni below.
Independent examirter's statement
I have cotnpleted my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my atientÉon in connection with the
examination giving me cause to believe that in any tnaterial respect..

STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
The Charity 15 manage(I by the tnJstee5, the body of the Trustees consists of =
Ex Officio. Shall be either the incumbent cleric for the time being of the present benefice of St Michael's Chvrth. AbergelÈ,
Aled Mission Area or, in consultation wth the Ctropted TrustÈÈs. a representètivE notninaled by the incumbent cleric who shall
be a member of the Church in Wales. The position is currendy held by Rev l E Nice.

The trustees confirm that they have referred to the gu¢dantr contained in the Charity CommissiDn'S general guidance on public
benefit, and the Ch6rities A£t 2011, when revIe￿ne the charity's aims and objecbve5 and in planning the future activities.
OBJECTIVES OFTHE CHARITY
The objective of the Chariiy is to provide a1ffl5houses for KK>Dr of aged persons of good character and, kvhenever possible. are
Èmbers of the Church of Wales or the Church of England_

properties ha¥e been Subject to considerable repair and refurbishtnent durinE tho prior year.
The Charity continues to be extreffleiy well supported by the on-siie Warden whose prime duty is tD rnaintain a discrete and caring
overview of ihe residents, individu41 needs. while at the same timE fostering a Eenerèl Spirit of neighbourlygood will. The Warden
a150 works closely with the Trustees and con5uIt5 thern on any matterthat5he herself cènnot resolve.
INVESTMENTS AND FINANCIAI REVIEW
InvestmÈnts hel(5 are shares and deFosits in the Nationèl AssiKiation of Alrnshouse5 Cornmon Investtnent
Fund IP4AACIFI and ihe CCLA COIF Charities Deposit Fut)d. The reason for selecting these funds ère
