The Charity of Dr. Jones (No.241351) Secretary’s Report to The Charities Commission for year 2020

– January 1[st] December 31[st] 2020

Dr Jones Charity is a registered charity No 241351 of which the primary aim is to assist people between the ages of 16-25 living within the old borough of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock, in the advancement of education and training.

In 2020 we received 35 applications for grant aid to students who had been accepted for University, College or further education. Two were refused because of being outside the catchment area and one for not producing confirmation of acceptance at the University of his choice.

There were 24 female and 11 male applications studying various degree courses from Animation, Cyber Security, Psychology, Medical Engineering to Chemical Engineering and many more with the charity supporting students totalling £12,400

COVID19 caused slight problems as we could not carry out any site visits our Management Professionals Owen & Owen, Chartered Surveyors did however keep the Trustees informed of issues that were of concern.

There was no A.G.M. IN 2020 all appointed officers were rolled over to continue as of the previous year.
