‐ Achievement and performance a report by the Chair

The year to 31 March 2023 saw a return to the normal level of bookings, following the pandemic. Although we were pleased with the level of fundraising during the year, in particular the amount of £14.4k raised through the Fab Fan Fayre arrangement, the charity had a small excess of expenditure over income of £1.3k primarily caused by the much needed repairs to the disabled bathroom (£9k).

The continuing cost of living crisis means that the holidays offered by the charity are even more valued by those members of the community who so need a break. Our continuing fund raising efforts enable us to keep the costs of these breaks as affordable as possible, and also to maintain the house to a good standard. We give thanks to all those who have given their time to volunteer for the charity during the year, your efforts are very much appreciated. And we also give thanks to those in the local community who support us financially, by donating, buying plants and Christmas tree and/or attending our fundraising events.

Ian Simpson Chair
