## **Trustee Review of 2024**

Another busy year for the Chapel.

Attendance at our Sunday Gatherings and at our Tuesday Taoist meditation has been encouraging. We continue to invite visiting Ministers to take Sunday services. It is most gratifying that members of our community step in and host on other Sundays. The Chapel was open almost every Sunday during 2024.

We are grateful for the continuing support of the Manchester District Association of Unitarian Chapels (MDA) and the General Assembly (GA) of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches. We participated in a project organised by the Unitarian Transformers.

Every last Sunday in the month and to coincide with Treacle Market we continued to hold our Open Day from 11am to 2pm. We provided refreshments for visitors free of charge and are pleased to receive donations to help with the upkeep of the Chapel.

During the year we conducted Welcomings, Weddings and Funerals.

The Chapel was rented out to groups such as the Quakers, AA and a regular singing group.

From time to time groups ask to visit the Chapel and we are always pleased to welcome then and other visitors.

Music is an important part of Chapel life. We are fortunate to have in our community a talented musician who organised concerts which were very well attended. We also hosted a concert by the Macclesfield Recorder Society.

Special thanks to our cleaner for her dedication and making the Chapel look at its best.

Our financial performance over the year has been most satisfactory. Thanks to generous legacies from Barbara Adkinson and Judith Kielty our endowment has increased significantly. Our Receipts and Payments report shows a healthy surplus, likewise our Assets & Liabilities report shows that total capital has increased by a healthy margin. We have healthy reserves in our bank accounts and are not aware of any Liabilities. We arranged for an Independent Examiner Review of our accounts.

My thanks to all in our Chapel Community and my fellow Trustees for their support and encouragement.
