The Trust is administered by a management committee consisting of the following trustees: Chairwomen: Mrs Meryl Higgins Secretary: Mrs Jenny Leng Booking Sec: Mrs Justine Chapman Treasurer: Mr. Ravi Ravindran Trustees: Mrs Georgia Collins, Mrs Laura Stevenson, Mr Norman Abbott
The object of the charity is the provision & maintenance of the Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Keston & the neighbourhood thereof without the distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including meetings, lectures & classes & other forms of leisure occupations, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. Regular users of the Hall included badminton clubs, dancing classes, dog training classes, short mat bowls, cactus society, Pilates classes, Yoga classes, Morris Men, Karate & Antiques Fairs. Additionally a number of adult & children’s parties, charity fund raising events, Christmas Markets & Wedding Receptions. Investments to ensure safety & security of the Halls have been ongoing with the fitting of new flooring in the Jubilee Room. Scheduled for 2026 are replacement coded entry gates & painting the Main Hall. The defibrillator continues to be maintained with new pads & battery purchased to ensure the unit is always ready.
The Bookings Secretary reported bookings remain good. Bookings from March 2026 onwards will be operated by Hallmaster: an online system. This will be used alongside Justine Chapman, the new KVH Booking Secretary.
Income from the hire of the Halls was £40,923 & after expenditure the balance was £6,459, with assets held including investments £60,586. Projected expenditures for 2026 include replacement entry gates and refurbishment of the Main Hall.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/12/2025 .
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
