2021 Trustees Annual Report
In the last 19 years we have made grants to 35 different churches totalling £650,186.
2021 was a good year for the fund which increased by 12.9 /0 compared with a decrease of 1.2'/0 in 2020.
HSBC'S commission charge for the year was £10,107.37 including VAT.
During 2021 we received requests from 9 different churches and we were able to help
with grants of various amounts to each of them. So please apply to the fund if your church
needs financial help in 2022 for things like improvements to buildings or Mission activity.
The fund cannot however help with any staffing costs.
The funds we send to the churches are in the form of grants, not loans. On completion of
your projects we require you to send us receipts which cover the spending of your grant
from us. We would also love to see photos of how you spent your grants.
An application form is available from the treasurer.
The accounts for 2020 have been examined by Mr Will Crowhurst, from Linton URC church and
found to be in good order. The annual returns have been made to the Charities Commission.
In 2021 the trustees offered a maximum extra gift of £50,000 to help any one church with their
particularly large building project. We will be making this same offer again in 2022 and we invite
churches to make an application to us in the usual way.
Should you have any questions about this report please contact the secretary or any of the Trustees.
