**Objects:** A) TO ADVANCE AND SUPPORT THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN RESIDENT IN THE NETHER DENTON PARISH, GIVING PREFERENCE TO THOSE IN NEED, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SEE FIT, INCLUDING BY:  I. PROVIDING GRANTS TO THE SCHOOLS ATTENDED BY THEM AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES (NOT NECESSARILY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY) AT SUCH SCHOOLS TO HELP DEVELOP THE CHILDREN?S MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND MORAL WELL-BEING THROUGH BOTH EDUCATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES.  II. AWARDING SUCH PERSONS SCHOLARSHIP MONIES, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION.  III. ASSISTING SUCH PERSONS TO UNDERTAKE COURSES OR TRAVEL IN FURTHERANCE OF THEIR EDUCATION, OR TO PREPARE FOR ENTRY INTO ANY OCCUPATION, TRADE OR PROFESSION ON LEAVING ANY EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT.  B) TO PROMOTE CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY, GOOD CITIZENSHIP AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE NETHER DENTON PARISH THROUGH GROUPS WHICH SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SCOUT AND GUIDE GROUPS  C) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY OR NEED IN NETHER DENTON PARISH BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY IN THE AREA.

**Activities:** The charity relates only to anyone resident in the parish of Nether Denton, Cumbria and can grant aid to either individuals or organisations to support the education of children of the parish and their general development (whether through school, college, or voluntary organisations). Grants can also be made for the prevention and relief of poverty and for community development.
